Meet our dogs!
Below is a brief introduction to our dogs.  We currently own a number of working gundogs who are trained members of the beating team on a number of local shoots.  Our working dogs are kenneled outside in individually designed kennels, this allows them space to play and rest as they desire.  Our pet dog lives inside but, if we have no guests, often chooses to stay out in the kennels and enjoy the company of the other dogs.
The kennels are for our dogs only, your dog will not be placed in a kennel during their stay with us

Tara

Tara is our pet dog, she's the old-hand; she has been there and done just about everything.  She has taken part in obediance displays in County shows and flushed grouse on the high moors of Yorkshire.  She is now retired from active duties and likes nothing better then sprawling in front of the open fire.  Tara is superb with all of our guests and regularly takes care of the youngsters

Meg

Meg is the first English Springer Spaniel I've owned.  She is a fantastic working dog, incredibly fast with an amazing nose, she can pinpoint game in the thickest of cover.  Meg loves nothing better than being asked to hunt.  She is a very quick dog, able to pick up new instructions with ease and keen to please.  This is her second year out beating and she shows an excellent aptitude.

Fen

Fen is a neice to Tara and shows the same wonderful, biddable temperament.  Fen represents all the best qualities of a Labrador; incredibly loving, loyal, quick to learn and with an overwhelming desire to please.  She is incredibly steady to game, happy to spend all day out in the field but equally (or may be more!) happy to curl up on her favourite bean bag by the fire!

Grace

Grace is the baby of our pack.  She possess the same Springer Spaniel enthusiasm to hunt as Meg and is undeterred by the thickest of cover.

Grace is incredibly loyal and steady enough to also make a peg dog.  She is a natural retriever and incredibly fast when returning game to hand.

Her training is progressing well and she is looking to start making an appearance towards the end of this season on local shoots.
